Malema responds to SA-US meeting

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has responded to being the centre of attraction at the South Africa– US meeting.

Soon after the meeting Malema responded on social media platform X, saying “A group of older men gather in Washington to gossip about me…”

This comes after a moment of surprise on the US side where US president Donald Trump raised the issue of farm murders and land expropriation, asking for the lights to be turned off and pointing towards a screen on the right of where President Cyril Ramaphosa was sitting.

A collage of video clips from various addresses by Malema was played with him singing “Kill the boer, the farmer.”

The press focused on Malema for a couple of minutes with billionaire businessman, Johan Rupert also sharing his sentiments on Malema’s past utterances, “I have been a target of this man for ten years.”

Trump and some of his executive members have been pushing their “white genocide” propaganda for a while, in some instances sharing the videos of Malema on social media.

Ramaphosa has reiterated that South Africa’s problem is not a white targeting criminal matter, but a general crime problem which was also reiterated by Rupert. - SABC

Trump ambushes Ramaphosa with videos to back his 'white genocide' claims

US President Donald Trump glossed over discussions on foreign direct investment in his discussions with President Cyril Ramaphosa in Washington on Wednesday evening instead focusing on his repeated claims that White South African farmers were victims of genocide in South Africa.

Trump ambushed Ramaphosa by playing a series of video clips of EFF leader Julius Malema singing "Kill the Boer" and other songs related to the killing of white people.

“Now, this is very bad," said Trump, pointing to the burial sites of white farmers shown in the clip.

“It is a terrible sight. I have never seen anything like this,” he said.

Prior to Trump instructing for the montage of video clips to be played, Ramaphosa said that he would allow, in a separate meeting, his delegation which included billionare Johann Rupert and golfers Ernie Else and Retief Goosen to explain in their own words that the idea of a white genocide in South Africa, was a myth.

R381 million injected to save SA Post Office

A R381 million agreement between the Minister of Employment and Labour Nomakhosazana Meth and the South African Post Office (SAPO)  was signed this week to relief 6000 post office employees through the Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) over six months.

The signed agreement aims to preserve jobs and support the revitalisation of the state-owned entity.

It is designed to provide relief to the thousands of employees while SAPO implements a turnaround strategy.

SAPO has been under a huge financial crisis since 2023, resulting in employees being retrenched.

“This is a bold and necessary step to protect workers and restore confidence in our public institutions.” Meth said.

Omotoso banned for 5 years from South Africa

Following numerous court battles, controversial Nigerian Pastor Timothy Omotoso is finally shipped to Nigeria.

The Department of Justice could not prosecute him for breaking immigration laws in South Africa and for his multiple charges of rape and human trafficking.

Omotoso will only be eligible to legally reapply for a Visa after five years.

Department of Home Affairs says Omotoso's exit is a "win" because previously the country never really held immigration law offenders accountable.
