Bloemfontein – Motorists are advised to avoid using the N8 highway until further notice, due to a complete closure following a Cash In Transit ( CIT) heist that took place this afternoon.

The heist took place just after Mandela View in Bloemfontein.

The CIT vehicle was allegedly blown apart by the use of explosives.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) and emergency services are currently at the scene.

Motorists are advised to make way  for emergency vehicles that have been activated to the scene and to drive with caution.
